Malia Losa
" She walked 12 kilometres a day for 30 years. Same bag. Same streets. Her name was Malia Losa. Born 1948, Ha'apai, Tonga. She arrived at Mangere in August 1971 with $20, a suitcase that had a broken handle, and a nursing certificate that New Zealand said was not valid here. She worked the night shift cleaning at Middlemore Hospital, 10pm to 6am, for $2.10 an hour."
