For Our Community 2016
They took away our jobs today
These ghastly people in suits
Vultures sucking the life out of our community
We gave them 40 years
40 years
Of hard sweat
Making appliances
Fixing machines
Clocking in on the morning shift
As night falls on Springs Road
Kids playing touch football on tthe street
As work boots find their place
At the front door
They sat at our boardroom today
These thoughts profit hungry people in suits
And decided $8 million dollars no more
Into our community
Dawn Raids,
Thatcher Reagan, Rogernomics
We are the sacrifice for the love of money
Mortgages to pay
Children to feed
Our skills lost in the abyss of greed
Where to from here we ask
Where to from here
For our community.
An Ode to Power 2015
After reviewing someone who wanted to end their life at Henry Rongomau Bennett Centre
You disgust me
With your disingenuous promises
Submerged beneath the filth of criminal policy
You disgust me
Anguish in the tears of fathers
Who no longer have the will to live
Broken, stripped, shattered beyond repair
Your pittance has paid for nothing
Their hard labour and sweat
The centre piece a jest at your dinner table
As you feast on lavish delicacies
And swallow your arrogance
Seasoned with greed
You disgust me
Hearts of mothers bleed
Seeing sons die
Cloaked in the pain of struggle
Born from cheap labour
Stressed bathed in alcohol
Of your liberated market
Allowing you to poison our streets
With your drug
You disgust me
With your two tiered justice system
The stock market bell and tax haven
Unmoved by the destruction of families
Who sons and daughters sit in privatised cells
As Goldman Sachs crimes walk freely
Glorified and unpunished
Y
You are given a voice and place
On our tvs, radios and papers,
Twisting words, offering rhetoric
Blinding the masses with orchestrated deceit
Filling pools with unemployment
To siphon in times of need
And dispose of when no longer required
When your gut is filled with cash
Fuck the homeless
Seeking shelter from the rain you say
There is no poverty here you cry
Austerity is your weapon
Sharpened by each cut, to our social safety net,
As 500 more each year choose suicide
To what do we owe the o gracious 'job creator'
Nothing.
You absolutely, disgust me
Seek Me 2012
In confusion
In doubt
In fear
In pain
Call me
In anger
In hurt
In loneliness
In fragility
Seek me
In Clarity
In Faith
In Courage
In Healing
Feel me
In Love
In Nurturing
In Oneness
In Strength

Contradictions in Life 2020
Those who are supposed to see the light, see darkness
And those who are supposed to be darkness see the light
Those who are supposed to be by your side flee
And those who you think will flee, remain.
Those who say will love you forever
Love you momentarily with conditions
And those who you spend priceless moments with
Love you forever unconditionally
Those whom everyone persecutes, can touch
your life in a loving way
And those whom everyone elevates, can sting
your heart painfully.
The contradiction in life
Is that those whom you thought would know you
will cast you away to the fire
And those whom have been casted to the fire,
know you intimately.
